During our Saturday walk in nature reserve “Śnieżycowy jar” (Snowflake Ravine) we spotted first, blossoming Leucojum vernum. Its shy flowers are a sign that soon, despite warmer temperatures, there will be a white blanket covering the whole ravine. Leucojum vernum is a local nature phenomenon. This plant, typical for south-eastern European mountains, flourishes on Wielkopolska lowland, near the Warta valley.
